The Hurricanes Poua are delighted to announce the appointment of Fusi Feaunati as the new Head Coach for Super Rugby Aupiki 2025.
“I am deeply honoured and excited to take on the role of Head Coach for the Hurricanes Poua in 2025,” Fusi said.
The Wellington Lions have announced that a new coach will be joining the pack, and it’s a name that many Wellingtonians will recognise.
Former All Black, Dane Coles, has offered his time to the Wellington Lions as a spot coach for the 2024 Bunnings Warehouse NPC competition.
The Hurricanes have added lock Zach Gallagher to their side, ahead of the 2025 DHL Super Rugby Pacific season, with the Canterbury product making the shift north to join the side.
It was a night for the loose forwards as the Hurricanes and Hurricanes Poua seasons culminated with the annual awards evening.
Of the 11 awards, six went to loose forwards, with outstanding youngster, Peter Lakai scooping two of them.
The winter season at Pātaka Art + Museum opens on Saturday 22 June with new exhibitions showing what can be achieved when art and collective action collide. Wellington Lions Head Coach Tamati Ellison has named his 40-man squad tasked with defending the Bunnings NPC title, kicking off next weekend. The squad features All Blacks Ardie Savea and Dane Coles, as well as 20 players who saw the field in Super Rugby this season. After two successful Ranfurly Shield defences to kick off season 2023, the team get their Bunnings NPC title defence underway away to Manawatu, on August 5th.
