SGCNZ WELLINGTON REGIONAL

COVID-19 E-UNIVERSITY OF OTAGO SHEILAH WINN SHAKESPEARE FESTIVAL

Media Release: 07 July 2020

Wellington Students Delight in Digital Shakespeare Festival

From our recent SGCNZ Covid-19 e-University of Otago Sheilah Winn Shakespeare Festival 2020 (SGCNZ UOSWSF) we are delighted to announce the results for the Wellington Region. We are especially proud of all of the students who took part considering the compromised circumstances in which they had to rehearse and film their entries. The e-Festival took place on the 23 June, with Assessors Alex Greig, Peter Hambleton and Sally Richards.

The 5 and 15 minute selected scenes will be entered into the National Festival, taking place on the 25 and 26 July. The Assessors for the National Festival are Ryan Hartigan, Salesi Le’ota and Peter Hambleton.

National Shakespeare School Production will take place 26 September – 4 October 2020 at Tolcarne Boarding Residence, Dunedin.
