On October 10 and 11, the small French town of Le Quesnoy will be packed with New Zealanders for the opening of the New Zealand Liberation Museum – Te Arawhata.

Dignitaries, descendants of Kiwi soldiers involved in the liberation of Le Quesnoy during World War One, donors who have supported the project, and members of the public, will be there to acknowledge a friendship that began over 100 years ago.

A giant troll is set to wreak havoc at two of New Zealand’s busiest travel spots, thanks to the creative work of the team at Wētā Workshop. The animatronic troll, named Jeff, is a creation of the team at Wētā Workshop and is from Wētā Workshop Unleashed, a movie-making tour experience in Auckland’s Sky City precinct. When he’s not out disrupting travel signage, Jeff works as Unleashed’s head of security.
