World of WearableArt and Wellington partnering for another five years

Te Whanganui-a-Tara is hosting the World of WearableArt Awards Show (WOW) for another five years, continuing a successful partnership in the capital.

WOW is a world class event, which has been based in Wellington since 2005. Annually, it brings over $28million into the local economy, with over 35,000 people visitors from outside the region attending, and a total audience of 60,000 adding vibrancy to the central city.

As the weather warms up, Police are reminding trampers to help keep themselves safe in the great outdoors.

“Winter and COVID-19 have kept a lot of us indoors for months on end but, with spring in the air, trampers and other outdoor enthusiasts are getting back into it,” Wellington Search and Rescue Coordinator Acting Sergeant Luke Taunton says.

The new WellingtonNZ.com combines the best visual and written story-telling content from the region, with navigation technology which suggests further relevant content to users the more they use and travel around the site.
